Colorado woman charged with drug distribution, murder

When a person is having financial issues, they can occasionally become desperate to make ends meet. The fear of being unable to pay bills and possibly ending up on the streets can cause anyone to make regrettable decisions concerning the ways they find to make money. Some people can even be faced with drug distribution charges if they become desperate enough to try to make money by less than legal means. When this situation occurs, money issues can become a lesser worry as they must figure out how to deal with the charges.

A former teacher's aide in Colorado was taken into custody recently after four people she was allegedly associated with died as a result of drug-related complications. Though the deaths were described as drug-related, it is unclear how authorities came to the conclusion that the accused could be potentially linked to the deaths other than that she had contact with all of the victims. As the deaths occurred between the years of 2008 and 2011, it can be assumed that the investigations into the deaths have been an ongoing endeavor.

There have been reports that the woman purportedly told authorities that she had at times sold some of her personal prescription medications because she had been facing significant financial struggles. This alleged admission, however, does not conclusively mean that the woman had a part in the deaths of the reported victims. At this time she is facing drug and murder charges.

As her case moves forward, the accused has the ability to request any evidence that the prosecution may have against her as well as to gather relevant evidence that may prove beneficial toward her case. She has the right to present a defense against any of the allegations brought against her including drug distribution. Looking into Colorado drug violation laws as well as criminal proceedings relating to her case could pay dividends as her case proceeds.
