Colorado bus driver facing DUI charges after striking vehicle
Being faced with criminal allegations can send a shock through someone who has been accused. Many people understand that charges, such as for DUI, can lead to serious consequences. However, it is also important for them to understand that there are legal options available for anyone suspected of a crime and that exploring their possible strategies could pay dividends.
A Colorado bus driver is currently facing several charges stemming from a DUI incident. According to reports, the man was driving a bus with 37 students on board and four adults. The group was apparently traveling to a football game when the bus driver allegedly struck another vehicle.
It is unclear how authorities determined the driver to be under the influence. However, he has been charged with DUI as well as allegations concerning child abuse and reckless endangerment. It was reported that no one sustained injuries as a result of the incident.
Should the accused wish to present a defense against the allegations he is facing, there are several options he may be able to explore. He should have the ability to present any relevant evidence that could be beneficial toward his case, and he may wish to request any evidence the prosecution may have against him. Attempting to create a plea bargain may also be an option, if the accused wishes to pursue that route. While there are several ways in which he may be able to handle his case, a beneficial first step could be to gain knowledge on Colorado DUI and other laws relevant to his current allegations.
