When an individual is involved in an accident that results from one vehicle rear-ending another, the damage can vary. If the collision is forceful enough, serious injuries could occur. If a driver involved is suspected of being under the influence at the time of the accident, that driver could face charges for DUI and other serious allegations, which may require swift attention.

An individual in Colorado is currently facing such charges after allegedly being involved in an accident. The event reportedly took place when the driver collided with the rear of another vehicle. That second vehicle then went over a curb after the driver purportedly lost control. The driver of the second vehicle and a passenger in the first were seriously injured as a result of the crash.

Authorities believe that the driver of the first vehicle was under the influence at the time of the accident. It was not clear how they came to this conclusion. It was noted that the driver is currently facing charges for driving under the influence, vehicular assault and others.

In order to handle the DUI and other charges that he currently faces, the driver may wish to learn as much as he can about his particular set of circumstances. A conviction regarding the charges that he faces could result in negative consequences that he will likely wish to avoid. By knowing more about his situation, the driver may be able to make better decisions about how he wishes to proceed with his legal situation in Colorado.
